Police have said that they believe Abdul Ezedi, the prime suspect of a chemical attack in Clapham that has left a woman with life altering injuries, to be dead. Believing he likely entered the Thames, although they haven't found a body.
Officers have been looking for Ezedi since Wednesday 31 January, after a chemical substance was thrown into the face of a 31-year old woman, and her two young daughters, three and eight.
It's since been discovered that Ezedi and the woman were in a relationship, and had agreed to meet in London, which is where the attack took place. It's understood that the relationship had broken down.
Ezedi has been missing since the attack, and police have only managed to trace his whereabouts to late at night on the day of the attack. They say he was last seen close to the River Thames.
Police now believe that he may have entered the Thames by his own free will, and subsequently died. Although they do confirm that they have not found his body.
Police have recently raided a number of addresses, including where he worked, but found no further trace of Ezedi. Officers are telling the public to call 999 if they see him and describe him as highly dangerous.
