Abdul Ezedi

Police have raided a number of addresses linked with Abdul Ezedi, including his brother's house, as they try and track suspect. Two empty bottles with corrosive warning labels have been seized as evidence.

Scotland Yard continue to try and track down Ezedi who is thought to have driven from his home in Newcastle to Clapham on Wednesday morning with acid that he'd use against a mother and her daughters later that day. They are pleading for him to turn himself in.

Met police commander Jon Savell said: “Abdul, you clearly have got some fairly significant injuries. We’ve seen the images, you need some medical help. So do the right thing and hand yourself in.”

“Two empty containers with corrosive warnings on the label were found at an address in Newcastle. Forensic tests are currently ongoing to see if the containers held the substance used in the attack in Clapham,” Savell said.

Police have released a new image of him at King's Cross underground station on Wednesday, the last known photograph of him. Police believe that he has stayed in London, taking a southbound train.

Detectives have said that the woman has suffered "life changing injuries", and remans under sedation in hospital. It's thought that her children are thought not be in as serious a condition as first feared.

It has since emerged that Ezedi was placed on the sex offender register for 10 years in 2019, having plead guilty to sexual assault and exposure in Newcastle.
