Two teenage boys aged 15 and 16 have been killed after a stabbing in Bristol on Saturday night, Avon and Somerset Police have confirmed.
They say they attacked "by a number of people who made off from the scene of the crime in a car". The police have also confirmed that a 15-year old boy and a 44-year old man have been apprehended and are in custody in connection to this incident.
The teenagers were taken to two hospitals - Southmead Hospital and Bristol Royal Hospital for Children - by ambulance, where they died in the early hours of Sunday. Neither boy has yet been identified and post-mortem examinations are expected to be carried out later today.
Local police have begun a murder investigation, and are particularly interested in speaking to passengers of a bus that was nearby at the time of the murders. A vehicle has also been siezed.
Police say they are supporting the family members of the dead children whilst investigations continue.
